Description

About this course

The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is a new scheme introduced by the Food Standards Agency and carried out by Local Authorities. It is designed to inform the public about food businesses’ standards of hygiene in a simple, clear and fair way.

Businesses are encouraged to display their rating to inform the public about the business’s hygiene standards (and are publicly available at: http://ratings.food.gov.uk/ ). Customers will be attracted to businesses with higher ratings more than competitors with lower ratings.

This course is designed to help you to achieve a 5 star rating by outlining the criteria that will be covered and helping to ensure you are compliant with food safety standards. As part of the course, you carry out a ‘self-audit’ that will highlight any areas you need to improve.
